Player is well-known for the Billboard Chart No.1 Hit Single titled "Baby Come Back" on January 14, 1978 from their first album.The original member of this group are Peter Beckett (Guitars, Vocals), Ronn Moss (Bass, Vocals), J.C. Crowley (Keyboards, Guitars, Vocals), John Friesen (Drums). And You can find Wayne Cook (Keyboards) as a guest player on their 1st album.

After they released their second album "Danger Zone" in 1978, J.C. Crowley left the band. (For Your Information, J.C. Crowley releases his solo country music albums after leaving Player.) According to the album credit, Wayne Cook plays keyboards as a guest player also on their 2nd album. 3rd Album "Room With A View" was released in 1980. Then Ronn Moss and John Friesen left the band. After releasing 4th album "Spies Of Life" in 1982, Peter Beckett had stopped the group. In 1995,Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss reunited Player and released reunion album in Japan!
