We are now having one of the greatest AOR/Melodic albums over the dacades in 2009. It is Blanc Faces's new album entitled “Falling from The Moon” in November 6th in Europe and November 26th in the USA. Japanese release followed in January 2010. In July of 2005, Blanc Faces, headed by the brothers duo, Robbie and Brian La Blanc world-wide major debuted with their self titled album showing the world that the time for big harmonies was not over. Following the huge responses, Blanc brothers started putting together musical material for their second album which they completed in the summer of 2009. This is an astonishing album that restores the faith in Classic AOR / Melodic Rock music. If you are a fan of Journey, Foreigner and Survivor, you will love this recording! |

REISSUES
Alan O'Day
Hollywood born singer songwriter, Alan O'Day started playing clubs with his bandmates as The Archers in early 60's and recorded for Dunhill Records in 1966, entertaining our troops throughout Europe & the Far East in 1967. In 1969, Alan cleared his head to try songwriting full force. He stopped performing, and survived by working part time at a Hollywood recording studio. Signing as a writer with E.H. Morris Music in 1969, & Warner Brothers Publishing in 1971, led to his first hitas a writer: Bobby Sherman's "The Drum" which climbed on the single chart and ranked #29 highest. Alan also wrote Helen Reddy's "Angie Baby", which hit #1 in December of 1974. In 1976, Alan O'Day signed as an artist with Pacific Records. Distributed by Atlantic, his solo album "Appetizers" was released in 1977 including the single "Undercover Angel" which zoomed to the top of the charts in July 1977, selling about two million copies. His next next effort was 1979's album entitled "Oh Johnny!" featuring a single, "Skinny Girls" which became a #1 song in Australia in 1980 but not so sucessful in the States. And Alan became well-known in 1981 by his co-wroting "Your Eyes" with singer-songwriter Tatsuro Yamashita, which became a smash hit for him in Japan. Both albums are really great and so had been tried to be reissued on CD but no success. Now, first time on CDs !!

| Mastedon / It's A
Jungle Out There! |
<ACM Rating: |
Mastedon is the Hard Rock band put together by ex KANSAS singer John Elefante, together with his brother Dino in the late 80’s. The band's name was a pachyderm-inspired reference to the brothers' last name. Although John was an accomplished vocalist and performer, the first two Mastedon albums featured multiple lead singers and performances by other artists, creating an eclectic sound anchored by John’s songwriting. His brother Dino played a prominent role, contributing songwriting and handling most of the guitar work. "It's A Jungle Out There" was the first full-length album released in 1989, together with superb musicians including REO Speedwagon's Dave Amato, Alan Parsons and Ambrosia's David Pack. Long out-of-print, this remastered reissue adds three bonus tracks; "Wasn't It Love" originally released on the compilation "California Metal Vol.1" in 1987, and live versions of "Islands In The Sky" and "Right Hand", recorded in 1991. |
