Kazu Matsui is a famous Bamboo flute player who lives in Los Angeles. He has been producing many good adult contemporary music projects' albums under the name Kazu Matsui Project in 80's and recently producing Keiko Matsui (his sweetheart) albums which has been ranked at top 10 on Billboard Adult Contemporary Music Chart.
Kazu Matsui was born in Tokyo on June 5, 1954. Kaz started to play Bamboo Flute (Shakuhachi) in his high school days and He started to wander all over the world at his age of 19 and then he settled down in Los Angels and studied folk art at UCLA. In 1981, he released his 1st album "Time No Longer" under the name of "Kazu featuring Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Steve Lukather, Robben Ford", with many other talented musicians such as Paul Jackson Jr., Jeff Porcaro, Alphonse Johnson, Russell Ferrante, Abraham Laboriel and .
In 1982, Kazu released his 2nd album "The Direction-West" under the name of "Kazu featuring Carlos Rios", on which you can listen to the vocal number with Bill Champlin and Jennifer Warnnes. He continued to release good albums such as "Is That The Way To Your Heart" under the name of "The Kazu Matsui Project featuring Gregory Walker, Phillip Ingram and Norman Dozier" also featuring Phil Perry and Bill Meyersin 1984, "Marine Fantasia" under the name of "The Kazu Matsui Project" featuring Carl Anderson in 1986, and "See You There" under the name of "The Kazu Matsui Project featuring Carl Anderson, Marva King and Phillip Ingram" in 1987.This is Kaz Matusi's best album featuring Chris Farren and Tommy Funderburk!
