このコーナーでは、北海道の宣教の歴史を紹介したいと思います。 江戸時代末期、函館と下田が開港してから多くの宣教師たちが北海道を訪れるようになりました。 長い鎖国政策の間には北海道でも大千間岳でのキリシタン殉教(１６３９年、１０６名）もありました。 幕末から明治の初めにかけて多くの宣教師が函館から北海道に入ってきました。 北海道の宣教の歴史を少しでもご紹介できればと思います。 まだまだ工事中ですが、「歴史から学ぶ」ことの大切さは忘れてはいけないと思います。
I'm showing you in this corner on the history of the mission in Hokkaido. There came many missionaries to Hokkaido at the end of the Edo era since Hakodate and Shimoda opened their ports to foreign countries. During the long national isolation policy which Edo government decided, Christianity was forbidden and also in Hokkaido, in 1639, there occurred tragedy known as "Martyrs in Mt. Daisengen".
From the end of Edo era to the beginning of Meiji era, there came many missionaries through Hakodate to Hokkaido. I think learning history of our mission is surly very important to evangelize in our own situation. (Most of them are under construction, sorry)
