Shiokara-tonbo

One of the most common dragonflies in Japan. The abdomen of the male is white except the tip of the tail. "Shio" means salt and "Shiokara-tonbo" named after the color of its abdomen. The abdomen of the female is brawn and called "Mugiwara-tonbo". "Mugiwara" means a straw.
