One of the most common summer insects in Japan. From July to September ( the hottest season) , this sicada sings noisily during the daytime. "abura" means oil, "semi(zemi)" means sicada in Japanese. I hear that the Japanese name comes from the similarity of the sound of boiling oil and the sound of the sicada. The wings are brownish.
