™Ikuko Sano™
Dear Gloria,
Excuse me for not contacting you for a long time. I hope you and your family
have been fine and enjoying spring.
My family and I have been fine. There was a little change in my family.
My daughter became a junior high school student and has reached the rebellious
age before I knew it. Children grow up so quickly!

For these two months I've directed my attention to the AUM incident. I guess most
of Japanese people think they are guilty, but the truth is not obvious yet. I'm frustrated
by the news which the TV frequently broadcasts.@Since I haven't experienced any wars,
I have never dreamed that something life-threatening would actually occur in Japan. I'm
very shocked that peace can be easily broken by a small number of people who have evil
ambitions in Japan. Anyway, I hope the incident will be solved soon.

It is the middle of spring in my garden. The plum tree, the persimmon tree, the loquat
tree and the grapes, they have a lot of tiny fruits. Gardening makes me happy in this
season, surrounded by fresh green.

Gloria, please write to me about your spring and haiku writing. Please take care.
Love, Ikuko
