I'm afraid that our lives are degenerating. Certainly Japan has grown in the fields of
industry, science, education, etc. So our lives have become easier and more convenient,
but I think in some respects, we, human beings have lost or forgotten something impor-
tant. Excellent necessities of life have been born more than we had expected. Even now,
the new products appear one after another. I admire industry's will to produce, but I don't
understand why convenience is pursued in spite of full of the fact that we don't require
any new necessities. What do you think ?
People tend to be affected by all information. Getting and giving information is very
important to us. But, somehow I wonder if the information-oriented society is really
helpful or not. There are few people who have the spirit of inquiry, because of all the
information, and because we can find answers too easily. Recent incidents relate to the
history of life, I think. I don't want a person to threaten others, but we must help those
people polluted by something.
Well, it is a nice season. I'll go to see peach blossoms in Yamanashi Prefecture this
weekend. Please give my regards to Alyson.
