• A message from Pete Huttlinger concerning the tribute CD

  • Helloooooo everybody! Wow! I am completely overwhelmed by the response I have recieved from one late night post. I'm sorry for everyone getting the same letter, but it would take a while to answer each of you individually. I plan on doing just that, but in the meantime the one question everyone has is about the cd so I'll send it here and then post a message with all the info. First let me say thank you to each of you for your kind messages. When John died we all experienced a loss that will be felt around the world for a long time to come. But what a huge support group! So here is the info I have at this point:

"Colors in Time"-musical memories of John Denver

This is the title of the CD Chris Nole and I have recorded in memory of John. (I am so tired of the word 'tribute') We recorded instrumental versions of 11 of John's songs featuring guitar and piano. It is filled out with strings, mandolin, cello and synthesizer. Here is a complete list of the songs in the order they appear:

    1. The Eagle And The Hawk (with a very cool guitar intro)

    2. Fly Away/I'm Sorry (medley)

    3. Druthers

    4. My Sweet Lady

    5. Two Hours (by Pete Huttlinger)

    6. Flight (The Higher We Fly)

    7. Travels (by Chris Nole)

    8. Poems, Prayers and Promises

    9. For You (A beautiful piano arrangement by Chris)

    10. Eagles And Horses

    11. Calypso

    12. Sunshine On My Shoulders (All 5 1/2 minutes of it! This is a real pretty arrangement for solo guitar and filled out with Chris on Synth. A nice to meditate to.)

    It is currently available through:

    INSTAR RECORDS

    P.O. BOX 90244

The price is $15.00 + $1.50 shipping (U.S.A.) [$5.00 to Australia] Other countries should email for shipping charges. CD's will be ready to ship in about three weeks---as soon as they arrive from the manufacturer. Unfortunately, we are not set up to take credit card orders so check or money order please. If this takes off, we will get credit card capability soonwith an 800 number. If any one is interested, we are taking advance orders.(It sure helps.)

I think that's about it. I really hope that you all like what we have done. We wanted to keep it simple and let the music speak for itself.I really wish JD could be here to hear it.

    All the best,

    Pete Huttlinger.
