●1996年９月にナシュビルで吹き込まれた、ＪＤのセルフプロデュースによる再録ベスト盤。ピート・ハットリンガー(g)、クリス・ノール(key)らツアー・バンドそのままの顔ぶれでの録音。初期に立ち返ったようなシンプルな編成・アレンジと、深みを増したＪＤの歌声でじっくり聞かせる１枚。日本題がなぜか「ライヴ」となっているが、これは間違い。９７年初頭にヨーロッパ先行発売、アメリカではジョンの急逝を受けて『A Celebration Of Life』と題して発売された。権利関係が緩いためか、各国で多様なタイトル・ジャケット・選曲（曲順）で発売されていて、ややこしい。（1996年9月録音、1997年発売）

●家族向けＣＤで知られるソニー・ワンダーレーベルからの依頼で制作した「汽車・列車」をテーマにしたアルバム。久々にカントリー＆ウェスタン色が濃厚な仕上がりとなった。ロジャー・ニコルス、ＪＤ、それに長年のロード・マネジャー、クリス・オコナーの共同プロデュース。ツアー・バンドに加えハーブ・ピーダースン、デニー・ブルックス、エリザベス・ラマーズら８０年代組が参加しているのも嬉しい。結果的にＪＤの遺作になってしまったが、翌年のグラミー賞でみごと最優秀子供向けアルバムに輝いた。（1997年8月26日発売）

●ＪＤ最後のオーストラリア・ツアーでのライブ録音。このニューキャッスルでのコンサートの映像は1996年になぜかアジア各国でのみＶＨＳ・ＬＤ発売された通称「ビデオケ」でファンにはお馴染みだったが、'01年になってようやくＣＤ化されオーストラリアでのみ発売された。バック・バンドはこの年の全面入れ替えで加入したピート・ハットリンガー(g)、クリス・ノール(key)ら若手メンバー。アレンジ・演奏・録音とも欠点が多く、全体に安直でチープな雰囲気。収録時間の都合でか曲間の空きが短くされているのも興をそぐ。（2001年7月31日発売）

●晩年のＪＤはすべてのコンサートを資料用にサウンドボード録音していたと言われているが、親友クリス・オコナーの尽力により、そうした音源が日の目をみることとなった。その第１弾は1996年ワシントンＤＣでのクリスマス・コンサート。大オーケストラ・子供合唱団との共演も素晴らしく、ＪＤの澄んだ歌声が一層美しく響き渡っている。ブックレットの写真・ライナーも熱心なファンによるもので、近年のＢＭＧによるやっつけ仕事的なものとは一線を画す、愛情のこもった仕上がりとなっている。（2001年9月25日発売）

●2002年に新たに発足したＢＭＧヘリテジ・レーベルからの第１作は、前作に引き続きＫＯプロデュースのサウンドボード録音第２弾。今回は1995年９月ボストンでのライブの模様を収録した２枚組。同年６月にＣＤ・ビデオ発売及びＴＶ放映されたばかりの『ワイルドライフ・コンサート』のプロモーショナル・ツアーでもあったため曲目の重複も多いが、こちらでは普段の編成での当時のコンサートの様子を伺い知ることができる。『Sing Australia』同様、バンドのアレンジのまずさ、演奏の未熟さが非常に気になる。特にシンセサイザーの場違いでチープな音は聞くに堪えない。愛唱歌「El Paso」、新曲「Kissing You Goodbye」は今回が初CD化。（2002年4月23日発売）

●Cherry Lane Musicから発売されたソングブックで、JDの代表的な楽曲のピアノ／ヴォーカル／ギター譜が収録されているだけでなく、パーソナルな写真やインタビュー、家族や元バンドメンバーらが寄せたコメントなどを収録。付録として、これまでCD化されたことのなかった80年代のソロ・コンサート（バンドなしのコンサート）のサウンドボード音源を収録したCDが添付されている。わずか３曲ではあるがJDの迫力ある歌唱とギター演奏が楽しめる。晩年のみならず80年代のコンサートまでがサウンドボード録音されていたことが判明したのは喜ばしい限り。今後こうした音源が続々とCD化されることを期待したい。（2004年4月1日発売）

●ジョンのRCAデビュー35周年を記念して発売された代表曲集。アメリカ盤はデジタル･リマスターだが、インターナショナル･ヴァージョン（日本盤も含む）では70年代の楽曲に完全デジタル･リミックスが施され、驚くほど鮮烈な音質となっている。また、Tr.6は歌詞違いの別テイクが収録されている。ボーナス・ディスクには1966年の自主制作アルバム『John Denver Sings』に収録されていた「ジェット・プレーン」の初代バージョン、『この自然は誰のもの』セッションからの未発表曲、「アニー」「カリプソ」のアンダブド・バージョンなど、貴重音源が収録されている。ミルト・オークンによる全曲解説つき。（UK盤2004年9月20日、US盤10月5日発売）

●2004年に発売されたソングブック『Poems, Prayers & Promises: The Art And Soul Of John Denver』の付録CDに収録された1987年10月12日Cedar Rapidsでのソロ・ライヴ音源を、BMGが2005年に2枚組CDとして発売する計画が進められていたが、結局お蔵入りとなってしまった。アルバムのプロモーション用にプレスされた6曲入りのパイロット盤のみがネット･オークションなどで流通した。
