Chromatic player. Born in 1947 in Tokyo. At first he played tremolo, but changed to chromatic in 1962, after listening John Sebastian's concert. He studied harmonica play in Germany for 2 years, and, in his German days, he won the 2nd prize at the contest at Eindhoven, Netherland on Oct. 1971. He returned to Japan in 1972, and till now he is active as one of the top chromatic players in Japan.
He tries aggressively to have joint plays to orchestra, harp (with strings), piano and so on. He have also made an effort to have a new songs for harmonica play, mostly in classics and modern music fields.
