Accompaniment for the own choice piece should be piano in principle. A pianist for the accompaniment will be provided by the sponsor, but your own accompanist may also join. If a pianist provided by the sponsor is used, music for the own choice piece (including that for the piano accompaniment) should be submitted by 10th September, 1995. The PA cannot be used. CLASSIC Senior [Category 1b] Requirements:TEST PIECE OWN CHOICE PIECE (within 8 minutes) Description: same as one of category 1a. JAZZ POPULAR Junior [Category 2a] Requirements:OWN CHOICE PIECE (within 6 minutes) Description: Non-accompaniment is acceptable. CD, 6mm casette tape and DAT for accompaniment may be used. PA may be used. (Hand microphone or stand microphone may also be used.) The only music instrument which will be provided by the sponsor is piano. Accompaniment is limited to one person for guitar or piano (keyboard). The sponsor will provide a piano (keyboard) or guitar anplifier, pianist or guitarist, but your own accompanist may also join. CD, casette tape, etc. for accompaniment cannot be used. PA and amplifier may be used. However, including its setting, the PA will be limited to that provided by the sponsor. FOLK/COUNTRY [Category 4] Requirements:OWN CHOICE PIECE (within 6 minutes) Description: same as one of Category 3. Suite, variation, medley, etc. will be considered as one piece of music as long as the performance is within the limited time. *Performance order, time, etc. will be determined separately after the entry deadline. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ =QUALIFICATION= Qualification is unnecessary. Anybody may enter in the World Harmonica Championships 1995. =ENTRY METHOD= *Entry Form Please fill out the required items in the Entry Form contained within this leaflet and mail it to the address below. Those who are making multiple entries should fill out this form for each category. If an entry is made for an ensemble, all members should fill out this Form respectively and the leader should collect them and mail them together. Those who are making entries for Category 1a or 1b, and are requesting the sponsor to provide a pianist for accompaniment, please send the music of the Own choice piece (including that of the accompaniment) by 10th September, 1995. *Entry Fee 20,000 Yen per person regardless of the number of categories entered. Those who have paid 20,000 Yen may freely participate in or enter all the events of the World Harmonica Festival '95 Japan. When you arrive at PACIFICO, the site of WHF'95, please come to the Registration Desk at the Entrance Hall on the ground floor to pick up your ID card, souvenir brochure, etc. =ENTRY DEADLINE= Entry Forms must arrive at the WHF'95 Executive Committee by 31st August, 1995.
