Following figure shows the relation between powers and the engine speed when the engine is loaded by the fan. The output power of the prototype engine maximizes at 110 degree phase angle.

Following figure shows the relation between the time and the engine speed when the phase angle is changed from 150 degree to 90 degree smoothly. The result shows that the speed of the engine equipped with this variable phase angle mechanism can be controlled easily with high responsibility.
