Harutane Ookura who suppressed Fujiwara Sumitomo's Rebellion was granted the position of the General of western Japan and stayed in Haruda,Chikuzen State.
He assumed the surname of Haruda from the name of the land.
Harukado,a child of Harutane Haruda, stationed in Takahashi Castle and thereafter he took the surname of Takahashi.
The 7th grandchild from him was Mitutane Takahashi.
Takauji Ashikaga ran to Kyusyu, commanding a large force in 14 C.
Takauji Ashikaga fought with a Taketoshi Kikuchi near the Tataragawa River in Fukuoka City by the guidance of Mitutane Takahashi.
Takauji appointed Mitutane Takahashi one of the 3 three local judges in Chikshi state giving him the right of criminal investigation and jurisdiction by his achievement.
The ruin of Takahashi Castle was located at Shimotakahashi in the south of Tachiarai Town.
The Takahasi Family had resided in those area for successive generations as the feudal lords at this Castle.
Houman Shrine stands on the ruins of the castle now.
A small shrine was in the corner of Houman Shrine, and people call this shrine "Takahashisama" reverently.
A moat of the castle also remaines still now.
Then, the Takahashi Family received the Chikuzen-Iwaya Castle (near the summit of Mt. Shiouji in the Dazaifu City) from the Ootomo Family in the generation of Akitane Takahashi, and therefore Takahashi Castle was abolished.
In addition, during the Warring States period, the offensive and defensive battle for the sake of capturing the Iwaya Castle between Jyouun Takahashi and the Shimazu Family was so fierce that the battle may remain immortally in the recorded history.
