Xi Zhou (Western Zhou) Dynasty (Ca.1027-771.BC).
Casting era : The late years of Western Zhou Dynasty.
Oval body. Thunderbolt pattern belt in the upper part of, and parallel
pattern belt in the lower part of the body. Two handles. A head of sacred
sheep on the each handle. Three cracks in the lid. A craftman's fingerprint
on the reverse of the lid. Dark green and black patina.
No restoration. Intact.
