On "Generosity is eternal, circulating treasure"

This type of coin is a key bronze coin in Edo period (AD 1603-1867), and was made from AD 1626 to AD 1869 for 243 years. In the year of AD 1869, the modern Mint Bureau was established in Japan.
This type of coin has Chinese character inscription on its obverse. It is "Kan ei tsu hou". This inscription means "Generosity is eternal, circulating treasure".
Generally speaking, these coins are divided into two types.
Old Kan ei coin type : AD 1626 - 1668.
New Kan ei coin type : AD 1668 - 1869.
This type of coin deserved one Mon in principle. "Mon" is a Japanese old currency unit.
Because of long time casting, strictly speaking, these coins are divided into hundreds of types.
