Dependence on heaven, original treasure : Shun tian yuan bao.
Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907).
The Rebellion of An Lu shan and Shi Si ming (AD 755-763).
Casting era : AD 760 - The end is unclear.
Emperor : Su zong, Li Heng.

In the year AD 760, the rebel general : Shi Si ming occupied Luo yang (present Luo yang city of He nan province) and founded his own empire which was named Yan. He gave his own name as Da Yan Huang Di (= the great Yan emperor) and named his reign years Shun tian (= Dependence on heaven). Shi Si ming cast this type of coin in this year. This coin deserved one hundred pieces of Kai yuan tong bao (a usual coin in this period).

Obverse : Chinese character inscription : Shun tian yuan bao.
From observer's point of view, up : Shun (= Dependence), right : tian (= heaven), down : yuan (= original), left : bao (= treasure). Hemming line.
Reverse : A cresent above the square hole. Hemming line.
