Casting place : The northern part of Chu kingdom.
O : Chinese character inscription : Pei qian dang Jin.
From observer's point of view, up right : Pei (= a flag with a swallow-tail), down right : qian (=coin), up left : dang (=deserve), down left : jin (= an ancient Chinese unit of weight. Originally this word meant an axe.).
Therefore this inscription means that this coin like a flag with a swallow-tail deserves one jin. A center line.
R : Chinese character inscription : Shi hou.
From observer's point of view, right : Shi (=ten), left : hou (= coin).
This inscription means that this cloth coin deserves ten pieces of bronze shell coin of Chu kingdom. A center line.
