O : Chinese character inscription : Wu zhu.
From observer's point of view, right : Wu (= five), left : zhu (= an ancient Chinese unit of weight, about 0.67g). Therefore this inscription means five zhu (about 3.35g). There is hemmimg line in the outside only.
R : Hemming line.
The last finish wasn't given to the surface of this coin (casting only, without finishing).

Wu zhu coin was used from 118.BC to AD 621 for 739 years, and was the most common type of coin in ancient China.
In the year of 118.BC, emperor Wu di ordered many counties and countries to make severally this type of coin for the first time. So that the first type of Wu zhu coin is named "counties and countries five zhu".
